Joe Gabardi

Joe Gabardi - Educator & Workforce Development Advocate

With over two decades of experience in education, Joe Gabardi has dedicated his career to equipping students with practical skills and career-ready training. A lifelong resident of the Iron Range, he holds a Bachelor of Science from Bemidji State University (2002) and a Master’s in Education (2007).

He began his teaching career at Champlin Park High School in the Anoka-Hennepin School District, where he taught Automotive Technology before returning home to Hibbing. In 2006, he joined Nashwauk-Keewatin High School, where he expanded his expertise to include Industrial Metals instruction. Passionate about mentoring and creating opportunities for student success, he has been a driving force in preparing young people for technical careers.

In January 2025, he joined IEDC and The Forge, bringing his commitment to workforce development and community engagement to a new level. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and supporting his children—Jack, Joey, and Jenna—alongside his wife, Sarah, in their various activities.
