Spencer Bloch

Born and raised in the Grand Rapids area, Spencer attended GRHS through 10th grade. He then went on to attend Itasca Community College through the PSEO program. It was there that he pursued his AS and studied Engineering and STEM. After graduating in 2016, with a lifelong interest in computers, he then transferred to the University of Wisconsin Superior where he studied Computer Science and Math. 

Out of college, he spent most of his professional career working for Minnesota Power/ALLETE. During his career there, he worked at nearly every generation facility, traveling across the state as a Technical Assistant, and developed a profound interest in industry and our local economies. Spencer joined the IEDC in 2024 as the Administrative Assistant where he has continued to pursue his passion to learn about the world around us and can help to shape the future.
