Attract Me. Employ Me. Retain Me. Workforce Summit

IEDC’s Workforce Advisory Group is proud to host the Attract Me – Employ Me – Retain Me Workforce Summit which will provide an abundance of topics around workforce attraction, development, and retention.  We are excited to provide engaging sessions on areas such as working with generational differences, local and state incentive programs, educational benefits, leadership development, and much more. 

On April 6, 2023, at Timberlake Lodge, we will host speakers from across the region to help you understand current trends, access new opportunities, and learn about programs available right in your community.  In addition, we will provide the results from the 2022 “Love Where You Work Survey”, where more than 287 Itasca employees shared what they are looking for in an employer.  The results of this survey drove the variety of topics to be covered at the Workforce Summit.

Our goal is to reach throughout your organization.  We encourage you to bring team leaders, supervisors, mentors, HR representatives, managers and assistant managers, or anyone from your team that works to define your workplace culture.  This event promises to provide insights, industry trends, and opportunities to connect and navigate resources.  Don’t miss out!

We are thrilled to welcome keynote speaker, Mike Henke, a national speaker with a passion for building strong teams, who will speak in the areas of Leadership Training, Recruiting & Retention, and Positive Workplace Environment.  In addition, we have expert speakers from organizations such as MN Department of Employment Economic Development (DEED), Northeast Office of Job Training (JET), Department of Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation (IRRR), Career Pathways, Advanced Minnesota and many more. Finally, to ensure these topics are hitting home, we will have several local employers talk about their workplace culture, incentive programs they are using, and success stories around facing local workforce challenges.
