Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, Amanda graduated from Itasca Community College and the University of Minnesota Duluth, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in psychology.  Following her passion for rural initiatives and building strong community, she held executive positions at two local non-profits.  Her organizational strengths include the ability to streamline processes for better efficiency and cost projecting.

Amanda is excited to be part of a team focused on fostering local entrepreneurs.  She sees it as a catalyst of growth for her hometown and is blessed to be able to do meaningful work and live in God’s Country.  Her position as Project Manager at IEDC enables her to help entrepreneurs and business owners realize that same freedom – living and working in a place they love.

Amanda’s desire is to curate a life that includes a strong local economy, great creative outlets, and a safe community to raise her boys.  She enjoys giving back to her community through volunteering on local boards and is a past board president for MacRostie Art Center.  When Amanda is not refining her creativity, she will most likely be at a ballfield or arena somewhere as she and her husband Justin have two boys who are very much involved in local sports.
