Rick Lemonds has been the CEO at Lake Country Power since April 2002. Prior to coming to Lake Country Power, he spent four years as general manager of Lyon-Lincoln Electric Cooperative (Tyler, Minnesota) and, before that, worked ten years with the Federal government's Rural Utilities Service as a field representative and loan finance specialist for public utilities.

Prior to moving to Grand Rapids, Rick was active in community and economic development in Tyler and southwestern Minnesota. He sat on the Boards of the Tyler Community Hospital, Tyler Community Foundation, Lincoln County Economic Development Corporation and the Rural Electric Economic Development Loan Fund, which was an $8 million loan fund established by electric cooperatives for the purpose of creating jobs and making investments in community infrastructure.
