Dan Odegaard is currently Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bigfork Valley and has held this role since January 1, 2003. Bigfork Valley is a diversified healthcare campus located in Bigfork, MN with clinics in Marcell, Balsam and Coleraine, MN. Bigfork Valley is comprised of a hospital, nursing home, three medical clinics and a senior housing and assisted living complex.

Before taking over as CEO of Bigfork Valley, Mr. Odegaard was the CEO of Community Memorial hospital in Redfield, SD from 2000-2003 and was CEO of Community Memorial Hospital in Turtle Lake, ND from 1998-2000. Mr. Odegaard began his career in healthcare as a U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman and served two years of his tour of duty with the U.S. Marine Corps as a field medic. Mr. Odegaard has over 17 years of combined healthcare experience in patient care and administration.

Mr. Odegaard graduated from the University of North Dakota receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in accounting in 1992 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree at the College of St. Scholastic in Duluth, MN. He is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Medical Group Management Association.
