IDC and JOBS 2020: Taking Action Meeting
Thursday, January 30, 2003 - 11:30 – 1:00 P.M

"Change is upon us; business as usual is not an option; we are responsible for our own future." Itasca area business leaders have presented their industry challenges and opportunities for economic growth. Now is the time to take action.

Meeting Purpose:
To create a mechanism for developing specific action plans aimed at diversifying the region’s economy and creating quality jobs through cooperative action.

• You will be invited to join a project-oriented Action Team.
• Teams will be organized in support of each of the sectors addressed by the Jobs 2020 forums: forest products, health care, mining & manufacturing, tourism, retail, services, and construction.
• Participants also will be invited to organize teams in support of other sectors or projects not yet addressed by Jobs 2020.
• Jobs 2020 has a regional focus: participation from beyond Grand Rapids is especially welcome.
